Antimicrobial resistance and the increasing complexity of infectious diseases represent major challenges for modern healthcare, requiring coordinated and multidisciplinary approaches. This congress aims to translate innovation into clinical practice by addressing the appropriate use of new antibiotics, advances in rapid microbiological diagnostics, precision dosing strategies, and the implementation of eective antimicrobial stewardship programs. The meeting also reflects the ongoing clinical, organizational, and research activities within Gruppo San Donato, highlighting how shared protocols, internal guidelines, and crossdisciplinary collaboration can be developed and harmonized across multiple institutions. Through the contribution of both local Experts and nationally and internationally recognized specialists, the first session focuses on optimizing antimicrobial use throughout the continuum of care, while the second session addresses the multidisciplinary management of complex endovascular and osteoarticular infections, emphasizing the integration of medical and surgical decision-making. By combining internal experiences with external perspectives, this congress seeks to stimulate meaningful discussion and knowledge exchange for both professionals within the GSD Hospital network and the wider healthcare community.
